Cruising Eastern Carribean in January

 Waiting to board the ship.
On the Enchantment of the Seas leaving Baltimore and marveling that we are going on a cruise.
My brother Joe took this pic of Mark, Julie, Terry Marc and I.
We played shuffleboard on the days we didn't go ashore.

The guys on deck 10 watching a football game on the big screen.

Night 2 and our first formal night in the dining room.  We  had a really great waiter and assistant waiter.  Our waiter (Buddy) was from Indonesia and whenever we made a selection from the menu he would say, "Ex...cel....lent!  By the end of the cruise we got him to say, "Su...perb" and "Wicked Good".  The food was really delicious.  Marc and I ended up eating most mornings in the dining room, also.  Sometimes Allens and Bennetts would join us but Joe liked the Wind Jammer cafeteria better.

Our first port was San Juan late afternoon.
We took a bus tour around old and new San Juan starting at the old fort.

Some captains were held captive in this room in the fort and drew pictures on the wall signing them.

The buildings were all very colorful. The nicest beaches were in front of the hotels and weathly homes, but there were walkways built between the fences to let the public have access.

While waiting outside a restaraunt , a man with this lizard put it on Joe's shoulder so we took a pic.

We had yummy food served in these wooden vase like dishes.  Plantains lined the inside of the dishes with seafood or meat piled in the center.  Mark Allen had a footlong pork chop!  The waitresses were in native dresses.  Fun and delicious.  After dinner we walked a couple of blocks back to the ship.
